Agreement on new partnership between SCI&SCJ／SCIとSCJの新しいパートナーシップに関する同意
– for further dissemination of solar cookers -／－ソーラークッカーのさらなる普及のために－

The Solar Cookers International (SCI) and the Solar Cooker Japan (SCJ) are pleased to create new partnership for further dissemination of solar cookers, especially on investigating potentials of new Ohmura Balloon Cooker.／ソーラークッカーズインターナショナル（SCI）とソーラークッカー・ジャパン（SCJ）はソーラークッカーのさらなる普及のためにここに新しい連携を創出し、特に大村型バルーンクッカーについての潜在能力を検証する。
Mutual roles/responsibilities and the project timeframe are illustrated as follows／両団体の役割／責任とプロジェクトのタイムフレームは次のとおり：
1. Roles and Responsibilities／役割と責任
• SCI (EARO) affirmed their supports for the proposed partnership.／SCI（東アフリカ地域オフィス）は提案された連携を支持する。
• SCI (EARO) will work with SCJ in field testing the balloon cookers and send reports for the improvements to SCJ once per month.／SCI（EARO）はSCJと協働し、バルーンクッカーの現地調査を行うとともに、月に一度、クッカー改善のためのレポートをSCJに送付する。
• SCI (EARO) will work on an initial budget for transportation and purchase of foods during field tests and report it to SCJ by the end of April 2007, and the tests will be commenced only when discussion on who will pay for what would reach consensus between SCI and SCJ.／SCI（EARO）は最初の現地調査の間に必要な食材の輸送・購入費の見積もりを行い、その結果を４月末までにSCJに送付する。また、現地調査は、関係費用を誰がどう負担するかがはっきりし、その点についてSCIとSCJで了承がとれた段階で初めて開始する。
• The above monthly reports include information on expense data and pictures (and videos, if possible) on how funds have been used.／上記月報には、資金がどのように使われたかの支出と写真（可能であればビデオ）の情報を含むこととする。
• The above monthly reports also contain the budget information for coming months and SCI and SCJ discuss the source of necessary funding each time.／上記月報には、あわせて、今後のプロジェクトに必要な予算の情報も記載することとし、その都度SCIとSCJで必要経費の確保について話し合うこととする。
• SCJ agreed to send the users manual by 1st May to enable field tests to go on.／SCJは、現地調査を遂行させるため、バルーンクッカーの仕様書を５月１日までに送付する。
• SCI (EA) will look into possibilities of local sponsorship from companies like TOYOTA Kenya and send reports to SCJ when it is available.／SCI（東アフリカ）は、現地での資金サポートの可能性を、例えばトヨタ・ケニアから探り、資金確保ができた場合はSCJに報告する。
• SCI and SCJ seek both possibilities of producing the balloon cookers in Japan and Kenya, but also agree with the point that the ultimate goal should be to produce and sell the cookers feasibly in Kenya and other African countries.／SCIとSCJはバルーンクッカーを日本あるいはケニヤのいずれかで生産する可能性を探るが、最終目標は現地（ケニヤやアフリカ諸国）での市場に乗る形での生産・販売であることに同意する。
• SCJ will continue to seek financial supports for the initial stage of the project.／プロジェクトの立ち上げ資金の確保について、SCJは引き続き努力する。
• SCJ will identify other Japanese companies in Kenya and forward contacts to SCI (EARO).／SCJはケニヤの日系企業の情報を集め、SCI（EARO）に連絡先の情報を伝える。
• SCJ will assist SCI (EARO) with a digital camera to assist in the documentation process. ／SCJはSCI（EARO）をサポートし、報告の際に必要なデジカメを提供する。
2. Time Frame／時間軸
• expected procedures are as follows／手順は次のとおり：
• It was agreed that the testing period (from Step A to Step D) would take about six months depending on the weather conditions.／Step AからStep Dまでの試験期間は、天気の状況によるが、約半年間ということで同意。
• It was also agreed that suggested improvements be investigated and worked on in the six months.／その約半年の期間中に、提案された改善点について検証がなされ、取組が進められることについても同意。
• Both parties agreed to discuss other modalities after the field tests phase (between Step A and Step D).／両者とも、現地試験（Step AからStep D）が終わった段階で、その後の展開について話し合うことに同意。
• Only when all the parties were satisfied with the results achieved, manufacture either local of importation (Step F) would begin.／関係者が達成された結果に満足しない限り、バルーンクッカーの、現地あるいは輸入を通じた生産は開始されないこととする。
